Hello from Hawaii,
I an Tom and this is my new BLOG.
I moved here from North Carolina 01/10/2017 and I live outside the small town of Pahoa on The Big Island Of Hawaii.
I was Homesteading in Ahoskie N.C. for ten years, But because I had to work nights and sleep during the day, Not much Homesteading Got done! About all I could do was feed and water the Chickens and collect their Eggs.
I was single and without a help mate!.
I retired at the age of 63 and moved to The Big Island and Married my childhood sweet hart Sue We have known each other for 56 years now (I was 11 and she was 14 when we met for the time. More about that as this BLOG goes on).
Since my arrival we have gotten married, bought a big RED truck, sold a house and bought a house that was unfinished on the inside (No walls, no Plumping or Water, or electricity. It took us 11 months with the help of a part time contractor, But We "Got'er Dun".
Now we are working on the Homestead raised garden Beds. We have been harvesting Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Peas, Green Beans, 3 kinds of Kale, Pak Choy and White Pineapple.
We also have planted the following: Watermelon, Corn, 3 kinds of Squish, Kohlrabi, Beets, Onions,
Hawaiian and Okinawan Sweet Potatoes, White, Yellow, and Pink Pineapple.
